Fooled ya!

I bet you all thought I was really dead, right? Well, one of the hibou pulled me aside and asked me if I wanted to participate in a curse BEHIND the scenes, so I agreed! They got me all made up like a corpse and gave me this pill that helped me breath without my chest moving! I was so convincing I thought I was a zombie walking along in the hidden back halways, ha ha!

Welp, I AM alive, so no worries, everyone!

I WAS NOT. How was I supposed to know that the stupid Hibou could make someone dead and then bring them right back like that? She was dead, Will!

A pill to alter her body's movements and make-up are hardly the same thing as dead. Should I give you instruction on the most basic of death god lessons to ensure you understand this? We certainly do not lack for time.

We do. I have reproduced it and several other documents vital to the duties of a Death God, since there is little else to fill the time when we are not being cursed.

It was my fault...I volunteered to be given the treatment that fooled Grell. You should not fault him, as it was meant to fool even someone like yourself, Mr. Spears.

There is a flaw with your position, Miss Maxwell. You are not my subordinate. That person is.

Regardless of what you might believe, or what the behavior of certain others might indicate, we Death Gods hold our station with a certain pride. If those owls have found a way to trick even us into accepting a false death, then we must find a way to see the truth behind the trick. For us, to be unable to tell the difference between the living and the dead is perhaps the single largest disgrace we could suffer.

I am curious, however. Why are you defending him? Certainly his nature has become evident to you by now.
