-It's the return of Sieben High's delightfully dorky girl, Virginia Maxwell! Here we find her scuttling along in her admittedly frumpy (by today's standards) outfit, clinging desperately to her books lest some asshole or bitch decides to knock them out of her hands again. She's often bullied, you see, being who she is.

Still, she's smiling. You know why? Because she gets to see Jet here pretty soon! The blush on her face is highly evident. How could a childhood friend grow so close like that? It was like something out of a movie.-

[sighs] The Anti-Prom. The opposite of Prom. For social outcasts like me who don't really give a damn about the "popular" crowd and their shindig. Lots of drinking, loud music, moshing. We'd probably go and egg the houses of the jocks and cheerleaders.

If I weren't taking you to Prom, then that's where I would have ended up.

You can't be getting involved in things like that! A) Uncle Tesla would forbid me from seeing you if he found out. And B) you could get arrested!

A) Since when did I ever care about what adults think of me, and B) the police have to catch me before they can arrest me. I'm pretty quick on my feet.

Because if Uncle Tesla thinks you're some rotten tomato, that will be the end of us, you jerk!

[Grinning evilly] Aw, c'mon! Being a teenager is a time of rebellion. You don't always have to play the dutiful niece, ya know?

Jet Enduro, there is a difference between rebellion and breaking the law just to be a jackass.

I'm not a jackass. I'm a juvenile delinquent. There's a difference.

Is that why you go for the "bad boy" type? Because you're attracted to the kind of boy that needs to be reformed?

[Averts eyes, looking serious] Yeah. You're right. I am pretty lucky, aren't I? I'll never understand why you're so sweet on me, Virginia. You could have any boy in the entire school, and yet you chose me, the delinquent who's probably not even going to make it to graduation.
